TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1: Lila Inn – Bac Sum Pass – Khuan Lung – Soan Tung – Lung Tam – Yen Minh (140KM)
8:00 AM Enjoy a delicious breakfast and 8:30 AM start your journey to Bac Sum Pass, the steepest and most challenging slope of #Ha Giang. Admire the smooth and elegant curves of the road, like a silk ribbon dancing between four majestic rocky terraces.
10:00 AM Head to Khuan Lung Waterfall for 15 minutes hiking. It’s a great waterfall in a nice valley.
10:30 AM After that you will see the great waterfall hidden in front of really big cliff.
11:30 AM After the waterfall you will get back on the main road and then get to Soan Tung Cave, the cave come with 10 nature jacuzzis where you can chill out.
1:30 PM have lunch in Quyet Tien village.
2:30 PM Admire the stunning scenery and stop for a coffee break at Heaven Gate, where you can climb a tower and see the panoramic view of Tam Son Town and the Twin Mountains with their legendary fairy’s bosom shape.
03:00 PM Nestled under the foot of hills in Quan Ba Lung Tam Village attracts many travelers from near and far owing to its astonishing landscape and serenity and Mong ethnic minority women in colorful attire. The hospitality of ethnic minority children and adults warms visitors who traverse hundreds of kilometers of winding roads to the village.
Then drive through the cypress forest and admire the golden cypress, a rare and endemic plant that grows only on rocky limestone areas in northern Vietnam.
03:30 PM Continue to Yen Minh.
04:30 PM Check in at Tom Homestay, Hoang Vu Homestay or Ha Anh homestay, a unique place that offers a stunning view of the rice terrace valley from the mountainside. Enjoy afternoon tea and watch the sky change colors as the sunset.
7:00 PM Have a family dinner and show off your singing skills with karaoke.
Day 2: Yen Minh – Tham Ma Pass – H’mong King’s Palace – Lung Cu Flag Tower – Chinese Border – Dong Van Ancient Town (110KM)
7:00 AM Have an early morning breakfast with hot coffee and watch the sunrise.
8:00 AM Reach Tham Ma Pass, a historical site where horses were tested for their strength and endurance in the old days.
9:20 AM Continue to Pho Cao drive along the Nine-Turn Pass, a thrilling and scenic road that twists and turns along the steep valleys. Stop for photos and enjoy the view of the flat valley surrounded by limestone karsts.
You will visit Lao Xa village where the Hmong People and Han people live together.
10:00 AM Explore the Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark, a spectacular landscape of limestone formations. Located on an altitude of 1000 – 1600m above sea level. Thanks to weather changes and geodiversity, the karst evolution has created rock gardens and rock forests of diverse forms in the area.
11:00 AM Visit the H’mong King’s Palace, a historical and cultural relic of the H’mong people. Learn about the history and architecture of this impressive building.
12:00 PM Have lunch and relax. Pass Khe Lia Canyon and take nice photos.
1:30 PM Continue to the Lung Cu Flag Tower, the northernmost point of Vietnam and a symbol of national pride. Admire the view of the giant rocks and the national flag flying over Dragon Mountain, surrounded by magnificent forests.
2:30 PM On the way back you will visit the Chinese border
3:00 PM Hike for 3 km through Ma Le, a mysterious area known as the ‘one-eyed ghost’ area. This is a secret road that leads to the most remote and untouched part of Vietnam.
Advoid main road by our way by going through Ma U village on small road, the village of Hmong people come with great view
5:00 PM Reach Dong Van, a unique karst plateau geopark. Explore the rolling mountains and forests and learn about the local culture and lifestyle. Visit the Dong Van market, a vibrant and colorful place where you can find various goods and souvenirs.
5:30 PM Check in at Trieu Nghi or Thuong An homestay, a cozy and comfortable place in the heart of Dong Van Old Quarter.
Day 3: Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Nho Que River – Mau Due – Du Gia Village (100KM)
7:30 AM Enjoy a delicious breakfast and visit Dong Van Ethnic Market (on Sunday Morning) to experience the local culture and cuisine. You will see different ethnic groups from nearby hamlets and villages, dressed in colorful clothing and carrying baskets of various goods, such as vegetables, fruits, chicken, and birds, or driving buffaloes, cows, etc.
9:00 AM Travel to Ma-Pi-Leng Path that offers stunning views of the mountains and valleys.
This pass is known as the King of Passes in Vietnam and the most spectacular mountain road in all of Vietnam. Stop at the pit stop to admire the scenery and take photos. Climb up to the top of a rocky mountain to see the best views on the path.
9:30 AM You will also trek Ma Pi Leng Sky Path for 7km. When you do this trail it will be better view and you will get multiple perspectives on the amazing views (Tu San Canyon view).
The 9km long climb will inspire you with its breathtaking beauty. At the top of the pass, there is a stone stele that records the marks of the construction process. You will also pass by Tu San Chasm, the deepest canyon in South Asia.
12:00 PM Enjoy lunch and rest in Mau Due.
A couple of hours from Mau Due, you will begin another challenging climb up the massive green mountains. You will be amazed by the views of nature and rice paddies.
3:00 PM As you approach Du Gia, you will see landscapes that seem out of this world. You will feel like you are on a different planet with multi-colored rocks, towering mountains, and tiny villages that are untouched by tourism. Du Gia is a small village with a few restaurants and guesthouses, but it still preserves its local charm and authenticity.
5:00 PM Check in at Nalien homestay and enjoy a family dinner. Don’t miss this last chance to sing karaoke. Let’s relax and have fun!
Day 4: Du Gia – Thai An – Ha Giang City (93KM)
7:30 AM Enjoy breakfast and coffee and watch the sunrise over the rice terraces.
Take a dip in Du Gia waterfall and refresh yourself. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit. Return to the homestay and check out.
9:00 AM After the waterfall you will get back on the main road and then get to Lung Ho. The village is in a great valley.
10:00 AM On the way, stop at Tay Village, a scenic place where you can see Tay people and their nice village.
11:00 AM You also can see Duong Thuong village at a nice view point.
12:30 PM Head to Thuan Hoa village, the landscape is composed of unlimited rice fields, nice waterfalls and wide hydroelectric lake.
Continue to Ha Giang. Visit the villages of Tay ethnic people in Thon Tha and learn about their culture and lifestyle. End the tour at 4:30PM

8:00 AM Enjoy a delicious breakfast and head to Tha Village for a scenic 3 km hike.
Start your journey to Bac Sum Pass, the steepest and most challenging slope of Ha Giang. Admire the smooth and elegant curves of the road, like a silk ribbon dancing between four majestic rocky terraces.
Admire the stunning scenery and stop for a coffee break at Heaven Gate, where you can climb a tower and see the panoramic view of Tam Son Town and the Twin Mountains with their legendary fairy’s bosom shape.
Visit Lung Khuy Cave, a pristine and beautiful cave with many branches and tunnels to explore. You will see many magnificent and strange stalactites that spark your imagination. Hike for 3 km from the parking lot to the entrance of the cave. Stalactites are pointed formations that hang from the ceiling and grow from the mineral calcite that drips from the water. Over hundreds and thousands of years, they can become very large and impressive.
11:30 AM Have lunch and relax in Quan Ba. Then drive through the cypress forest and admire the golden cypress, a rare and endemic plant that grows only on rocky limestone areas in northern Vietnam.

Yen Minh – H’mong King’s Palace – Tham Ma Pass – Lung Cu Flag Tower – Ma Le – Dong Van Ancient Town

Continue to Pho Cao and explore the Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark, a spectacular landscape of limestone formations. Visit the H’mong King’s Palace, a historical and cultural relic of the H’mong people. Learn about the history and architecture of this impressive building.
Reach Tham Ma Pass, a historical site where horses were tested for their strength and endurance in the old days.
Drive along the Nine-Turn Pass, a thrilling and scenic road that twists and turns along the steep valleys. Stop for photos and enjoy the view of the flat valley surrounded by limestone karsts. Take a short detour to Pho Bang, a market town near the Chinese border.
Visit H’Mong King’s Palace - the residence of Vuong Chinh Duc - a mandarin under Nguyen Dynasty. He spent 8 years and about 150,000 silver coins to build this magnificent house with the help of Chinese workers and Hmong craftsmen. The wooden parts were intricately carved to reflect his wealth and prosperity. You can see the ancient cypresses standing solemnly in front of the main gate, welcoming you to explore this historical and cultural treasure.
12:00 PM Have lunch and relax.

7:30 AM Enjoy a delicious breakfast and visit Dong Van Ethnic Market (on Sunday Morning) to experience the local culture and cuisine. You will see different ethnic groups from nearby hamlets and villages, dressed in colorful clothing and carrying baskets of various goods, such as vegetables, fruits, chicken, and birds, or driving buffaloes, cows, etc. These are transported by bicycle or motorbike.
Travel to Ma Pi Leng Pass, a 10 km stretch of road that offers stunning views of the mountains and valleys. This pass is known as the King of Passes in Vietnam and the most spectacular mountain road in all of Vietnam. The road was built in the 60s of the 20th century by many workers who labored for 11 years to complete this project. Stop at the pit stop to admire the scenery and take photos. You will also trek Ma Pi Leng Sky Path for 7km and climb up to the top of a rocky mountain to see the best views on the path.
The road to the summit is a thrilling and picturesque ride with sharp and blind curves, hairpin switchbacks, and sheer drops along the entire route. It feels like a scene from a fairytale and is often called “Vietnam’s Great Wall”. The 20km long climb will inspire you with its breathtaking beauty. 7:30 AM Enjoy breakfast and coffee and watch the sunrise over the rice terraces.
Take a dip in Du Gia waterfall and refresh yourself. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit. Return to the homestay and check out.
Head back toward Ha Giang City. On the way, stop at Lung Tam Linen Village, a scenic place where you can see the Mong ethnic minority women in colorful clothes making linen from flax.
Nestled under the foot of hills in Quan Ba, Lung Tam Village attracts many travelers from near and far owing to its astonishing landscape and serenity and Mong ethnic minority women in colorful attire. The hospitality of ethnic minority children and adults warms visitors who put on three or four jackets and traverse hundreds of kilometers of winding roads and in cold weather to the village.
Continue to Yen Minh and then to Ha Giang. Visit the villages of Tay ethnic people in Thon Tha and learn about their culture and lifestyle.
