Ha Giang Loop MOTORBIKE RENTAL

You must be at least 18 years old. The renter is required to have a valid motorcycle class driver’s license + an International Driving Permit (1968 version) with a stamp in section A or A1, and your country must be one of the 85 nations in the 1968 Vienna Convention. You confirm and agree that if you use an invalid license, you will be fully responsible for any fines issued at police checkpoints. Police are not likely to stop you and even if they do they are not likely to check your license, but it’s your responsibility to know and follow Vietnam’s laws and rules related to using the motorbike.

Rental is on a daily basis only, from 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM. The motorbike must be returned by 9 PM on the final day of rental. We do not offer hourly or half-day rates.

A deposit of 1,000,000 VND is required at the time of booking to reserve your motorcycle. In case of cancellation, you must cancel at least 1 day before the rental start time to receive the deposit refund. Reservations paid are transferable if you find a replacement. The deposit will be refunded when you return the motorbike to Lila Inn & Tours Office.

1. Comprehensive Insurance: It will relieve you of financial liability for any damage to the motorbike or its parts. In the event of a flat tire, crash, or accident, your bike will be fully covered. Prices: HONDA BLADE Semi Automatic 110cc: 100,000 VND/day; HONDA VISION Full Automatic 110cc: 200,000 VND/day; HONDA XR Manual 150cc: 250,000 VND/day.
2. Theft Insurance: It will relieve you of financial liability in the event of theft or attempted theft. All types of motorbike for the whole trip: 250,000 VND/day.

Important Note: The insurance period is based on your motorbike rental period. You are personally responsible for any accidents, theft, damage to property or people, and other costs that may arise due to late returns and/or returns after the insurance has expired.

We provide the following equipment for you to borrow: Helmets, Protective Gear, Straps, Gloves. In case of loss or damage: Helmet: 500,000 VND; Protective Gear: 500,000 VND; Strap: 20,000; Gloves: 100,000 VND.

In case of cancellation, you must cancel at least 1 day before the rental start time to receive the deposit refund. Reservations paid are transferable if you find a replacement. The deposit will be refunded when you return the motorbike to Lila Inn & Tours Office in the same condition as when it was rented, except for normal wear and tear.

The renter will be charged for:

1. Late Return: A late fee of 100,000 VND per hour will be charged if the motorbike is returned late.
2. Key Loss or Damage: A fee of 200,000 VND will be charged if you lose or damage the keys.
3. Repair Costs: Any costs for repairing physical or mechanical damage to the motorbike. We have the right to take legal action to collect any fees, costs, or expenses related to your use of the motorbike if they go beyond the 1,000,000 VND security deposit.

The Ha Giang Loop is a challenging and adventurous route that requires careful preparation and strict safety precautions. It is considered one of the most dangerous roads in Vietnam, with common risks such as slippery roads, sharp turns, steep slopes, and rocks on the road. Motorcycle accidents are especially common among inexperienced or speeding drivers. We recommend that self-riders have at least 3 months of riding experience beforehand.

If you do not have sufficient experience, we strongly recommend you book a tour with a local Easy Rider who can drive you safely while you relax and enjoy the sights. The cost of Easy Rider is not much higher than self-driving, but it is worth it for your peace of mind and enjoyment.
